Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus, Thailand during an academic visit held from May 7 to 11, 2025..  



Thailand’s PSU taps 快猫短视频 in an Academic Visit

快猫短视频 (快猫短视频), Manila, Philippines hosted the Academic Visit of its international bilateral partner institution, Prince of Songkla University (PSU), Pattani Campus, Thailand, also both acting as members of the Regional Network on Poverty Eradication (RENPER) for a series of activities set by the Office of the Vice President for Linkages and International Affairs in collaboration with the Community Engagement Center on May 07-11, 2025 as approved by the Rector-President, Rev. Fr. Aloysius Ma. A. Maranan, OSB.  

With the goal of strengthening institutional partnerships, the two universities aim to foster future research collaborations, share service-learning best practices among administrators, faculty, staff, and students, explore successful community engagement models that address poverty eradication in the Philippine context, and to initiate joint efforts in academics, research, and community engagement programs.  

An academic discussion was held to share opportunities on joint research opportunities, student development and global citizenship, and social innovation for sustainable poverty reduction as shared by Dr. Fernandino Jose A. Fontanilla, Vice President for Research and Innovation;  Dr. Divina M. Edralin, Vice President for Academics and the the Director of Research and Development Center; respectively. Other 快猫短视频 administrators also shared their practices in their respective colleges/offices including Dr. Febes Catalina T. Aranas, RN, Dean of the College of Nursing; Mr. Dominador B. Manlincon, LPT, Dean of Student Affairs; Mr. Irwin-II E. Edillor, MA Ed, LPT, Director of Human Resource Management Office; Mr. Joel Filamor, Head of IT Communications Office; Dr. Larry Ambion, Program Chair of the Department of Languages and Literature; and Ms. Rose Perreras, Department Chair of Information Technology. Ms. Norielyn C. Tabag, Director of Community Engagement Center presented the ongoing community engagement projects of 快猫短视频 with the Women’s Waste Warriors; Women of San Gabriel and Caingin, Rizal; and Silang Partners for Cleanliness, Livelihood, and Health. The locations of these organizations, in addition to the Bee Farm and the Children with Special Need Center in Silang, Cavite, were also visited by the delegates from PSU headed by the Vice President for Academics and the current President of RENPER, Asst. Prof. Dr. Montira Leelakriangsak. Other areas were also explored with the Vice President for Linkages and International Affairs, Prof. Dr. Tita E. Branzuela, including possible joint international programs and activities, resource-sharing opportunities, and the schedule of the succeeding RENPER engagement activities.  

The university, being true to its mission in honing global citizenship and competence, is continuously taking steps toward its realization as an affirmation of its commitment to inclusive development, academic excellence, and meaningful service-learning to its local community and the global society.
